Christmas tree shines bright in Mantoloking
After weeks of preparation, the Christmas tree outside of Mantoloking’s borough hall is now glowing brightly as the holiday season is officially here.
Members of the local community were invited to attend the annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony this past Sunday, Dec. 6 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The annual affair invited residents and other locals to take part in an evening filled with song, cheer and even a visit from the man in red.
About 75 people lined Downer Avenue to witness the lighting of the tree and join in to sing a collection of Christmas carols, according to Sandy McIntyre. Mrs. McIntyre was involved in piecing together the holiday festivities for the night.
Breakfast with Santa in Bay Head
Residents in the local area crowded the Bay Head Firehouse on Saturday morning, for a chance to enjoy a delightful pancake breakfast in a Christmas-spirited atmosphere — all while helping a good cause.
The event, the Bay Head School Pancake Breakfast With Santa, drew many hungry patrons, who not only enjoyed the menu — which consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage and, of course, pancakes — but the other festive activities for the younger attendees.
