Mantoloking is a Jersey Shore community, situated on the Barnegat Peninsula, a long, narrow barrier peninsula that separates Barnegat Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. Historically, in 1875 was Squan Beach and in 1881 resort was named Mantoloking.

Mantoloking NJ Real Estate features a 9 hole golf course over the dunes established in 1896 and in 1900 the Mantoloking Golf and Yacht Club was built at Downer Avenue & Bay Avenue. The basin, where children learned to sail, was to the east of the clubhouse where the tennis courts are today. In 1907 the name was changed to the Mantoloking Yacht Club. Mantoloking is home to the Olympic-champion producing Mantoloking Yacht Club.
