Shawn’s great Grandfather, Ross McDowell Clayton purchased many properties in Monmouth and Ocean County. Among his holdings was Island Beach State Park, 10 miles on the Atlantic Ocean. He than sold it to the state of New Jersey. Known in this unique family as “the horse trader”.

William S. Clayton taught his son the business in its entirety. Shawn Clayton has been recognized in the New York Times as the premier Broker in Bay Head and Mantoloking.
