Winter is finally over. It will soon be time to put the sweaters and heavy jackets away and think about the sunnier weather to come. Now that we have you thinking about summer again, we thought we’d highlight some of the vacation hot spots along the Jersey Shore to get everyone thinking about Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the Jersey Shore for their beach vacation in the coming months.
Long Beach Island
Where you’ll never be more than a few minutes from the beach. This 18-mile long barrier island is littered with charming beachside communities and gorgeous white sandy beaches. Here you’ll find laid back, quiet locales like Surf City, Brant Beach and Loveladies to the north, tempered by more bustling and happening spaces like Beach Haven to the south. With names like these, you know you’re in for a good time.
Bay Head

Sea Girt
The Jersey Shore isn’t all about the beach, believe it or not. Though Sea Girt has some fantastic, and rarely crowded, beaches, the true appeal comes from its charming, small-town atmosphere. Only one square mile, the laid back shopping and friendly local population lend this sleepy town a slower pace of life that visitors find intoxicating. Come enjoy its fantastic collection of restaurants, cafes, pubs and specialty boutiques. It may quickly become your regular vacation destination!
Point Pleasant
This is truly a vacation destination with a little something for everyone. With one of the premier boardwalks in New Jersey, the Point Pleasant mile-long boardwalk is family-friendly featuring an aquarium, rides, amusements and tons of live entertainment. Relax under the stars and enjoy an amazing display of fireworks on the beach every Thursday evening. The downtown area has established itself as a thriving shopping district with many antique stores to browse.
Spring Lake
A more refined vacation experience, Spring Lake boasts the largest non-commercial boardwalk along its nearly 2 miles of pristine beachfront. Combine this with a gorgeous spring-fed lake and a downtown core that features quaint boutique shopping and a historic community theater and you’ve got yourself a brilliant getaway. Along with numerous water activities to enjoy there are many beautiful bike paths to explore and concerts in the park running throughout the summer.
