A very special home just sold for $1.8 million, representing the full asking price.  The Buyer saw the full value of this property while the Seller (who was also the Designer and Builder) created a Jersey Shore paradise.  The "Cottage by the Sea" is a fabulous modernist design on the corner  of Newman Avenue in Mantoloking.  Its clean lines and modern décor are reminiscent of a Nantucket cottage, complete with flagstone patio and inviting perennial gardens to relax in after a day at the beach.

This home was featured in American Luxury Estates as well as the Asbury Park Press'"Luxury Living".  Our agency is proud and honored to have represented both the Buyer and Seller on the transaction.

Worst US Blizzards in HistoryIt was supposed to be "Snowmageddon" - one of the worst blizzards to ever hit New Jersey. Turns out - thankfully - it wasn't what forecasters had feared. Public transit was back in action by mid morning allowing employees to get to their jobs. Officials had originally predicted the blizzard would bring 2 to 4 feet of snow - along with hurricane force winds - to a large region from Northern New Jersey down to Southern Maine. NJ Gov. Chris Christie lifted the statewide travel ban at 7:30 am on Tuesday.

So with forecasters getting this blizzard wrong, at least in New Jersey, here's a quick look at a few of the most devastating blizzards the U.S. has ever seen:

  • Snowmageddon 1: In February 2010, two blizzards broke snowfall records in the mid-Atlantic…

Suffice it to say Bay Head residents still want no part of Gov. Chris Christie's plan to make beaches wider while building protective sand dunes along New Jersey's entire coastline of 127 miles.

Bay Head rock wall: Superstorm Sandy

To that end, residents of the Jersey Shores borough have raised $5 million from their own pockets to construct a rock wall to protect beaches and homes along the oceanfront. And Bay Head residents want to be exempt from Christie's coastline widening plan. In the Bellingham Herald, prominent Bay Head homeowner and major Republican Party fund raiser Lawrence Bathgate called the Governor's plan "stupid and wasteful". He told the paper "The science and economics don't support what they are doing. This sand will wash away in short order."

Christie's plan is…
