Can you believe this weekend is Labor Day already? It’s seems only yesterday we were welcoming the warmer weather of the summer months, and just like that, Summer 2015 becomes a memory! This coming up weekend is the last before school starts once again and we move back to the regular humdrum of our daily lives.
The Jersey Shore has plenty of fun community events planned for this weekend, so get out in the sun with your fellow New Jerseyans and say goodbye to the summer season in style! Here are four events taking place over the Labor Day Weekend for you to check out!
Manasquan Beach Labor Day Celebration,
Manasquan, NJ – September 5.
This fun annual event is a fantastic time for the entire family. Come out and enjoy an incredible array of live music featuring Moonlighting and great food, capped off by a beautiful fireworks display once the sun has gone down. What better way to cap off a fun, family-filled Labor Day weekend? The event takes place at Manasquan Beach at the corner of Main Street and First Avenue. The alternate rain date is September 6th.
BBQ & Craft Beer Festival,
Oceanport, NJ - September 5 - 7.
This incredible and successful event has been extended to a full three days! Sample an incredible 40 different craft brews from all across New Jersey, only $10 for 10 2-oz samples. There will also be live music and some of the best BBQ to be had anywhere on the Jersey Shore! Need we say more? Taking place at Monmouth Park Racetrack, the event is open between 11:30 and 5:00 each day.
Jazz it Up Wine Festival,
Wall, NJ - September 5 & 6.
What a combination! Enjoy sample tastings of over a hundred different varieties of wine from 17 of New Jersey’s premier wineries, all while experiencing the smooth jazz stylings of some of the East Coast’s most talented musicians. Taking place over two wonderful days this Labor Day weekend, it’s worth a look for the connoisseurs out there. Come by Allaire State Park on either Saturday or Sunday in Wall Township to take it all in.
Asbury Fresh Local Artisan Market,
Asbury Park, NJ, September 6.
Nothing says summer like an open-air farmer’s market. Experience the Asbury Fresh Local Artisan Market, the largest farmer’s market in the city. This weekend is your last chance to check out Asbury Fresh’s unique combination of artisan crafts and locally produced delicacies this year. Don’t be left out! Come by Kennedy Park this Sunday, anytime between 11 and 4.
