Bay Head & Mantoloking Markets Heating Up

While the temperatures remain in an Arctic-like state, the Bay Head and Mantoloking real estate markets are definitely beginning to heat up.

With the mercury recently dipping to a frigid -3, there are many homes in Bay Head and Mantoloking that are currently being bought and sold. From Jan. 1 to Feb. 26, six homes are under contract and five properties closed and we feel the market will only get stronger heading into the spring season starting March 20.

And as far as Our Listings go, we currently have two properties under contract: 102 Twilight in Bay Head and 1123 Barnegat Lane in Mantoloking. Our latest real estate report, detailing the Bay Head and Mantoloking real estate markets, shows a continued recovery in the Bay Head and Mantoloking and a near-return to their glory before Sandy ravaged the area in 2012.

The statistics for 2014 are comparable to the pre-Superstorm Sandy numbers of 2012, which indicate the luxury market is definitely gaining some traction in the boroughs of Bay Head and Mantoloking.

Most Severe Blizzards After Major Storm Misses New Jersey

It was supposed to be "Snowmageddon" - one of the worst blizzards to ever hit New Jersey. Turns out - thankfully - it wasn't what forecasters had feared. Public transit was back in action by mid morning allowing employees to get to their jobs. Officials had originally predicted the blizzard would bring 2 to 4 feet of snow - along with hurricane force winds - to a large region from Northern New Jersey down to Southern Maine. NJ Gov. New Jersey Announces New $38-million Beach Replenishment Deal

The New Jersey government has announced a new, $38-million deal to replenish and reconstruct the Sandy-damaged beaches and shoreline from Manasquan to Sea Bright.

It's the final stretch in a massive replenishment effort after Superstorm Sandy ravaged The Shore in October, 2012. The new project will cover the 21-mile shoreline from Manasquan to Sea Bright and will see reconstruction of beaches, stormwater outfalls, as well as implementing modifications to the existing groins of Loch Arbor and Deal. Seattle-based Manson Construction was awarded the contract.

The work will include dumping some 1.4 million cubic yards of sand on 1.6 miles of beach in Elberon and Deal. The project also calls for the modification of six existing stormwater outfalls…
