Brielle is positioned beside neighboring Manasquan, and across the Manasquan River from Point Pleasant Beach. Home to almost 5,000 residents, the main industry in the town is fishing, and it was named after a town in the Netherlands. Brielle's marinas are home to about 200 charter and commercial fishing boats. Interestingly, when it comes to Brielle's notable residents, the late Frank Mundus was a shark hunter who is said to have inspired the character Quint in the movie Jaws

Children in town attend the highly-rated Brielle Elementary (PK-8), then they move on to Manasquan High School in nearby Manasquan.
