In addition, there are great neighborhood parks in the area such as Huber Woods and Hartshorne Woods Park, where residents living here enjoy walking and bike trails along with some breathtaking views of the Navesink River and surrounding areas. Part of Hartshorne Woods was a coastal defense site, and tourists can still find remnants of those days in the form of old bunkers and underground fortifications. Residents also love the nearby Henry Hudson Bike trail, which winds from the Sandy Hook Bay Marina to the Atlantic Highlands Marina.

In terms of education, Navesink has the highly-rated Navesink Elementary School, while children of surrounding neighborhoods will attend schools in the Middletown Township School District.
