Avon-by-the-Sea Real Estate Market
While buyers touring the area will find quite a few Avon-by-the-Sea luxury homes with listing prices more than $1 million, there are also plenty of nice, upper-middle-class houses for sale in the borough as well. And being close to New York City means commuting is a viable option for professionals.
Real estate in Avon-by-the-Sea is mostly single-family homes, although there are some townhomes and condos in this community as well. Single-family homes are typically built in the beloved Coastal style, with a number of historic homes located throughout. However Avon-by-the-Sea also offers new construction properties and, on occasion, vacant lots to built custom homes—which is relatively common. These luxury homes offer unique layouts and designs, ideal for those who don't really like the cookie-cutter feel.
As Avon-by-the-Sea is located on the coast, between Sylvan Lake and Shark River, there are some opportunities to own a waterfront or water view property. Of course, these homes are very desirable, and are often listed at higher price points. Homes on the river or lake usually have water access, which makes these ideal for boating enthusiasts or simply those looking for additional privacy.
